Planning Commission

Overview

The Planning Commission has both advisory and administrative responsibilities. The Planning Commission has the following duties:

  • Advises the Board of Trustees on Zoning Ordinance text and map amendments, assists in ordinance administration, reviews and approves proposed site plans, and advises on special land uses and planned unit developments.
  • Prepares and adopts the Township’s Master Plan.
  • Acts as the Township’s Capital Improvements Committee.
  • Prepares the 5-year Capital Improvements Plan.

The Watertown Township Planning Commission meet in regular session on the 1st Wednesday of each month (unless it is a holiday) at 7:00PM in the South Room of the Township Hall. View Public Hearing Notices here.
