Airport Road Construction Notice and Phase 1 Detour

The Clinton County Road Commission (CCRC) will be reconstructing Airport Road, including traffic signal upgrades at Clark and Stoll intersections, sight distance improvements at Mesa Verde Blvd, widened paved shoulders, and roadside drainage improvements throughout the project.

  • Phase 1 - Clark Rd to Herbison Road - September 15 to October 25, 2025 (updated dates of Airport Road closure)
  • Phase 2 - Grand River Ave to Clark Road - March to August 2026

Grand River Avenue Construction Notice

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin resurfacing both east and westbound on the 2 miles of I-96 Business Loop (BL) (Grand River Avenue) from I-96 to the Bunker Hill Drive in Watertown Township, Clinton County, on Monday, September 22. Expect lane closures. The project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2025.

Roadside Spraying

The Clinton County Road Commission is responsible for making sure the road rights-of-way within Watertown Charter Township are clear. One of the methods they use is the spraying of roadside brush. If you do not want the brush in front of your property sprayed, please contact Dan at the Clinton County Road Commission at 989-224-3274, ext. 238.
